U.S. Supreme Court
We understand that the stakes are high for any case reaching the U.S. Supreme Court. At this level, it is important to work with attorneys who have the expertise necessary to navigate such litigation. Fortunately, we have a proven track record of success, where our lawyers routinely represent clients before the U.S. Supreme Court and are ready to provide a variety of expert services to our clients before the Court.
If you have a case that merits Supreme Court review, we will develop, prepare, and file a cert petition on your behalf that will maximize the chances that the Court will hear the case. As part of this effort, we also routinely coordinate the drafting and filing of supporting amicus briefs, highlighting the importance of the petition while increasing your chances or receiving a grant.
In the event you need to oppose a cert petition in order to defend a favorable judgment from a lower court, our experienced team will prepare and file a brief in opposition to explain why the case is not one that is appropriate for review.
If the Court grants review, we will bring our considerable experience to drafting a well-researched and convincing merits brief. At oral argument, we will amplify those briefs through argument that has been carefully honed after a thorough review of the record and multiple moot courts. We will also coordinate amicus briefs to ensure that your position is thoroughly presented to the Court.
Our attorneys also have a wealth of experience advancing our clients’ interests through amicus briefs. These briefs allow us to advocate on behalf of a client who is not a party, but who has an interest that may be impacted by a case currently before the Court. We routinely file amicus briefs to bring to the Court’s attention unexplored aspects of a case that may shape the outcome in our client’s favor.
