Eric Bolinder is Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University. Prior to joining the academy, Eric had a 10-year career as a public interest litigator, representing businesses and individuals suing or being sued by the federal government. Most importantly, Eric argued Loper Bright at the D.C. Circuit and was part of the team that took it from the district court through a victory at the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2024, the Supreme Court decided Loper Bright and overturned Chevron in a landmark decision that changed the landscape of administrative law. Eric’s experience also includes successfully trying the monetary relief portion of a case against the Federal Trade Commission. Finally, Eric has extensive experience in Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation.

Eric is a prolific academic writer, focusing his scholarship on administrative and constitutional law. He has published (or will soon publish) pieces in the Indiana Law Journal Supplement, the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy, the NYU Journal of Law and Liberty, the West Virginia Law Review, and the Liberty University Law Review.
